According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jeffery Scott Lambert, 38, 2228 Hwy. 182 E. Apt. #5, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 7, 2013 at 9:01 am on warrants for 37 counts of issuing worthless checks and failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area located Lambert at his residence on the warrants. Lambert was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Eddie Ray Gray, 20, 1423 B. Hickory Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 7, 2013 at 4:30 pm on a warrant for simple criminal damage to property, remaining where forbidden, and no child restraint. Gray turned himself in to the SMPSO in Morgan City after learning of the warrant for his arrest. Gray was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,750 bond.
Edgar Dela Rosa, 26, 2001 Second Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 8, 2013 at 4:47 am for failure to signal, license plate light required, operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States, and switched license plate. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto Hwy. 182 and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver who was unable to produce any type of identification. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that the driver was in the United States illegally and that the license plate on the vehicle did not match the description of the vehicle. Dela Rosa was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.
