According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Marvin Gabriel, 21, 209 Main Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on March 5, 2013 at 1:10 pm at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin for illegal possession of stolen things, unauthorized use of an access card, and forgery. He was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. During an investigation into a string of vehicle burglaries in the Charenton area, detectives identified Gabriel as a suspect who used a credit card that had been stolen from a victim's vehicle. Gabriel was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Sherry L. Call, 40, 524 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 6, 2013 at 2:58 am on a warrant from LA Probation and Parole for probation violation. A deputy conducting a traffic stop for a stop sign violation on Venus Road in Bayou Vista identified the driver as Call. The deputy conducted a warrants check and was advised of the warrant for Call's arrest. Call was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
