St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 132 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Debra C. Black, 55, 100 South Meyers Drive, Lafayette, LA was arrested on February 1, 2013 at 3:37 pm for theft. A deputy responded to complaint of a shoplifter at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Black was observed taking some items and switching price tags on other items to reflect a cheaper price. Following an investigation, Black was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Daija R. Hartman, 21, 771 DeForest Brown Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on February 1, 2013 at 6:47 pm on a warrant for theft. A deputy located Hartman at her residence on the warrant. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

David Churchill, 23, 10851 Hwy. 87, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on February 2, 2013 at 6:54 pm on warrants for simple battery and second degree battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the residence listed above. During the investigation, the deputy made contact with Churchill and learned that he was wanted on the warrants. Churchill was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Ivan Otoniel Campos, 29, 9100 Peasely Lane, Benton, TX was arrested on February 3, 2013 at 7:43 am for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of theft at the Amelia Belle Casino. Upon arrival the deputy learned from casino security that Campos was captured on surveillance video taking an employee's mobile phone. Following an investigation, Campos was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Riley Robert Hall, 42, 234 Brashear Ave., Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 3, 2013 at 2:36 pm for theft and simple battery. A deputy en route to a complaint of a shoplifter at Walmart in Bayou Vista was advised by dispatch that the subject had fled and was hiding in a dumpster behind a nearby store. Upon arrival the deputy located the subject, identified as Hall. Hall was transported back to the store where security personnel identified him as the subject who attempted to take a desktop computer from the store in a shopping basket. As Hall was being stopped by a security employee, he left the computer, pushed the employee, and fled. Hall was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
