According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:
James Anthony Skinner, 59, 742 Chetta Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 28, 2013 at 9:46 am on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. The SMPSO was advised by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office that Skinner had been located on the warrant. Skinner was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. Kenneth Wayne Rollins, 23, 113 Diane Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 28, 2013 at 6:00 pm for domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Canal Road in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy learned that Rollins committed a battery upon a female victim by grabbing and pushing her. Rollins was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Male juvenile, 13, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 28, 2013 at 8:46 pm for 2 counts of criminal trespassing and flight from an officer. A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person. Upon arrival the deputy learned from the complainant that a subject rang her doorbell multiple times and then fled towards the West St. Mary Community Center. The deputy learned from a second complainant that the juvenile had knocked on his door asking for a ride. While searching for the juvenile the deputy observed him running behind the community center. The juvenile was located behind the facility. He was booked and released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
