According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Brock Michael Kirkland, 21, 100 Pluto Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 16, 2013 at 7:29 am for disturbing the peace by using foul language, threatening a public official, and resisting an officer. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint requesting the removal of a subject at the address listed above. Upon arrival the deputy made contact with the subject identified as Kirkland. During the course of the investigation, Kirkland yelled at a female victim in an aggressive manner, repeatedly screamed profanities at the deputy, and made threats towards the deputy. Kirkland was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $2,250 bond.
Erin Vilcan, 35, 1610 Bradly Lane, New Iberia, LA was arrested on January 16, 2013 at 8:25 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 87 in Charenton. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Vilcan. A warrants check was conducted and Vilcan was found to be wanted for the charge listed above. She was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.
Tiffany Randolph, 23, 7212 Highway 90 East Apt. 23, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 16, 2013 at 11:42 pm for aggravated battery and on a warrant for theft.
Shanna Orgeron, 19, 406 B Marigny Circle, Duson, LA was arrested on January 16, 2013 at 11:42 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a fight at Judy's Lounge. Upon arrival the deputy learned that two female subjects, identified as Randolph and Orgeron, were involved in a physical altercation. According to witnesses to the fight, Randolph and Orgeron were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight. During the encounter, Randolph struck Orgeron in the head with a high heel shoe. Orgeron was treated by Acadian Ambulance personnel. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set for Randolph. Orgeron's bond is set at $250.
