St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the holiday weekend reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 219 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Ian Triston Jernigan, 32, 924 Deslonde Ave., New Orleans, LA was arrested on December 21, 2012 at 8:40 am at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. On December 18, 2012 three subjects were arrested after they were found to be stowaways on a train. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office received information indicating that one of the subjects, a female, was a juvenile and that she was traveling with Jernigan. Jernigan was booked on the additional charge. His bond is set at $3250.00.

Wilson Jackson, 31, 404 Catherine Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 21, 2012 at 12:16 pm for possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. While on patrol a deputy observed a vehicle run a red light at Duhon Road and Highway 182 in Amelia and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Jackson, the deputy observed an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. Jackson was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2013.

Elmer E. Hernandez, 29, 700 Federal Ave. Apt. B, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 23, 2012 at 11:25 pm for operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States, failure to provide proof of insurance, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and expired motor vehicle inspection. A deputy responding to a complaint of a reckless driver observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and crossing over the fog line multiple times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. After making contact with the driver, identified as Hernandez, the deputy observed several bottles of alcohol in the vehicle. During the investigation Hernandez failed to provide a valid LA drivers license or proof of insurance and had an expired inspection sticker. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Chad Gaudet,Sr., 42, Bridgeside Lane Lot #25, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 24, 2012 at 1:40 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Samantha Landreneau, 20, Bridgeside Lane Lot #25, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 24, 2012 at 1:40 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

While patrolling the Amelia area a deputy responded to a complaint of a battery. Upon arrival the deputy learned that Gaudet and Landreneau were arguing when the verbal altercation became physical. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Both were released on a $250 bond.

Javantre D. Jackson, 18, 2135 Becnel Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 24, 2012 at 2:42 pm for criminal trespassing and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. A deputy received information on the whereabouts of Jackson who is a suspect in a burglary. The deputy located Jackson on Becnel Street. As the deputy attempted to make contact, Jackson fled on foot through several yards and a residence. The deputy apprehended Jackson. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Rogers Louis Bolden, 57, 200 Thomas Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 24, 2012 at 4:25 pm for possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. A deputy patrolling the Centerville area observed a vehicle speeding on Irish Bend Road near St. Joseph Lane and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Bolden, the deputy smelled the odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located an open can of beer. Bolden was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2013.

Michael Wayne Ganaway, 25, 917 Middle Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 24, 2012 at 8:11 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area made contact with a subject walking on Venus Road near Middle Road in Bayou Vista. While speaking with the subject, identified as Ganaway, the deputy learned that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia used for smoking marijuana. Ganaway was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2013.

Jason Adams, 37, 1013 Malcolm Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 24, 2012 at 11:18 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Jeremiah Duhon, 26, 786 Yokley Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 24, 2012 at 11:55 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Woodley Duhon III, 786 Yokley Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 25, 2012 at 12:05 am for disturbing the peace by fighting.

A deputy responded to Franklin Foundation Hospital after receiving a complaint of a fight that occurred at a residence on Highway 317 in Centerville, LA. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that the three were arguing when the argument escalated into a physical fight. All three were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Adams and Jeremiah Duhon were released on a $250 bond. No bond is set for Woodley Duhon III.

Wakefield H. Ball II, 55, 233 S. Perkins Ferry, Lake Charles, LA was arrested on December 25, 2012 at 1:44 am for disturbing the peace intoxicated and obstructing a public passage. A deputy traveling on Highway 182 in Morgan City observed a male subject standing in the roadway blocking traffic. Upon making contact with the subject, identified as Ball, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and person. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that Ball was attempting to walk home. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,250 bond.

Frank John Singleton, Jr., 29, 1427 Hickory Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 25, 2012 at 2:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension. While assisting the Morgan City Police Department with a complaint on Highway 182 a deputy made contact with Singleton who was wanted on a warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $1,500.

Francisco Martinez, 43, 1409 South Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 25, 2012 at 1:30 pm for improper lane usage, operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States, and possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. A deputy responding to a complaint of a reckless driver conducted a traffic stop on Southeast Blvd. near Columbus Street in Bayou Vista. During the investigation the deputy observed an open container of beer in the vehicle. Martinez was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

April Thompkins, 22, 508 Bowman Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 25, 2012 at 5:34 pm on a warrant from Thibodaux Police for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace. Thompkins was located at her residence on the warrant. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $2500.

Anthony Dewayne Kelly, 28, 1041 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 25, 2012 at 6:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to use a seatbelt. Kelly was located on the warrant at a residence on Bowman Street. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $100 bond.

Patricia Ann Gaudet, 40, 1419 Park Drive, Thibodeaux, LA was arrested on December 25, 2012 at 8:36 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia. Upon arrival the deputy learned from casino security personnel that Gaudet was involved in a verbal altercation with another patron. Upon coming into contact with Gaudet, the deputy observed the strong odor of alcohol on her breath. During the course of the investigation Gaudet became irate shouting profanities at patrons. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $250.
