According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Adam P. Clements, 28, 123 Caleb Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on December 4, 2012 at 10:03 am at Walmart in Bayou Vista, LA for theft over $500. A deputy responded to a complaint of a theft. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Clements, who was an employee of Walmart, was caught on video surveillance taking an I-Pod from the store. Clements was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Roman Keith Baker, 36, 313 Lockley Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 4, 2012 at 11:02 am on a warrant for simple burglary. The warrant stems from an investigation that began in August after the SMPSO received a complaint of a vehicle burglary on Genevieve Street in Franklin. Blood located in the vehicle was collected by a deputy investigating the complaint. The blood was sent to the Acadiana Crime Lab and through the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) matched to Baker. Baker was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center when he was booked on this charge. No bond has been set.
Allegra Ackerman, 31, 726 Parish Road 131 Centerville, LA was arrested on December 4, 2012 at 2:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft under $500. A deputy located Ackerman at her residence on the warrant. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $400.
