According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 48 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 74 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Candice Lee Burton, 26, 335 Franklin Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 5, 2012 at 9:26 am on a warrant for probation violation. Burton turned herself in on the warrant at the SMPSO in Franklin, LA. No bond has been set.
Melissa Guillory Treadway, 54, 771 Deforest Brown #27, Franklin, LA was arrested on November 5, 2012 at 2:58 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Treadway on the warrant at her residence. She was released after posting a $700 bond.
Juvenile male, 13, was arrested on November 6, 2012 at 9:12 am for simple burglary.
Juvenile male, 14, was arrested on November 6, 2012 at 9:12 am for simple burglary.
Juvenile male 13, was arrested on November 6, 2012 at 9:12 am for simple burglary.
Juvenile female, 14, was arrested on November 6, 2012 at 9:12 am for unauthorized entry of a place of business.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a burglary at a pumping station located at 203 Michael Drive in Franklin, LA. Upon arrival the deputy learned from the complainant that several rain coats had been taken and that an excavator window had been broken. Using surveillance images taken at the scene the deputy identified several juveniles. The juveniles were released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings. More arrests may be pending in this case.
Alicia Nichole Tucker, 17, 132 Todd Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 6, 2012 at 11:32 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft under $500. Tucker turned herself in on the warrant at the SMPSO in Morgan City, LA. Her bond is set at $1,500.
Jovan M. Mosely, 32, 120 Benard Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 7, 2012 at 1:02 am on a warrant from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office for contempt of court. A deputy investigating a separate complaint at a lounge on Hwy. 182 in Amelia came into contact with Mosely. During the investigation the deputy learned of the warrant for Mosely's arrest. His bond is set at $10,000.
