According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Clinton Jesse Roberts, 30, 1300 Laban Avenue Apt. 62, Houma, LA was arrested on October 24, 2012 at 8:25 am at the SMPSO in Morgan City, LA on a warrant for theft. Roberts turned himself in on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a wallet being stolen at the Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia, LA. Roberts was released on a summons to appear in court on January 16, 2013.
Patrice Granger, 31, 504 Ninth Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 24, 2012 at 5:34 pm at Highway 87 and Sterling Road on warrants for failure to appear in court on the charges of theft under $300 and issuing worthless checks. A deputy patrolling the Centerville area observed a vehicle run a stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted. Granger was a passenger in the vehicle. During the investigation the deputy learned of the warrants for her arrest. Granger was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Carl Anthony Cage, 48, 121 Helen Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 24, 2012 at 10:30 pm for careless operation and driving while intoxicated. A deputy responded to a complaint of a vehicle crash on Helen Drive. Upon arrival the deputy learned that a vehicle traveled off the shoulder and struck a parked vehicle which in turn struck another parked vehicle. Upon coming into contact with the driver of the first vehicle, identified as Cage, the deputy observed the odor of alcohol on his person. The deputy conducted a field sobriety test on which Cage performed poorly. Cage later registered a .171g% BAC on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Cage was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
