St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Alecia P. Joseph, 43, 109 James Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on October 18, 2012 at Walmart in Bayou Vista at 3:10pm for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Joseph was observed attempting to leave the store without paying for 24 items in a shopping basket. The items are valued at $749.53. Joseph was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
