St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Megan E. Fontenot, 23, 3106 Lake Palourde Rd. Apt. #5, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 4, 2012 at 7:33 pm at the address above for remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a complaint of a female refusing to leave the home. Upon arrival the deputy learned from the complainant that Fontenot was not allowed at the residence and had been told several times to leave. Fontenot was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $500.

Don Verrett, 54, 158 St. Joseph Ln, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 5, 2012 at 4:24 am on St. Joseph Lane for violation of a protective order. A deputy served a protective order to Verrett who then left the residence. The deputy stayed in the area to ensure Verrett did not return. A short time later Verrett was observed driving by the home, which is a violation of the protective order. Verrett was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.

Joanie L. Williams, 50, 640 Terrebonne St, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 4, 2012 at 11:25 am at Walmart in Bayou Vista, LA for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at the store. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Williams was observed on surveillance cameras placing items in her purse. Williams was released on a summons to appear in court on December 12, 2012.

Ebonie D. Brown, 23, 308 Easy St, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 4, 2012 at 3:15 pm at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple battery. Brown turned herself in on the warrant. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.

Reed Rhodes, Jr., 35, 546 Ehrlich St, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 4, 2012 at 5:10 pm at a business on Degravelle Rd. in Amelia for simple battery and simple assault. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery at Bay Offshore. Upon arrival the deputy learned from the victim that he and Rhodes had a verbal altercation that escalated when Rhodes punched him in the nose. Rhodes was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $750 bond.
