St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Lucille R. Leonard, 32, 711 Franklin St, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 1, 2012 at 5:40 am on a warrant for issuing a worthless check on MLK Blvd. in Morgan City. Leonard was stopped for a traffic violation during which the deputy learned of a warrant for Leonard's arrest. She was released on a summons to appear in court on October 29, 2012.

Barry Darby, 53, 125 Alexander Ln, Franklin Louisiana was arrested on August 1, 2012 at 10:37 am on Hwy. 182 in Franklin on a warrant for possession of Schedule III (Lortab) and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area located Darby on the warrant. Darby was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.

Michelle Ashley, 42, 121 Calumet Cut Ln, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 1, 2012 at 11:50am at the residence above for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery at the home. The deputy learned from the victim that during an argument Ashley grabbed her arm and cut her with her fingernails. Ashley was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $500.

Stephen P. Leger, 22, 113 Judy Ln, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 1, 2012 at 11:51 am on Julian Ln. in Amelia for possession of Schedule I (Marijuana) 1st offense. A deputy was called to assist Customs and Border Protection agents in the search of a shrimping vessel. Agents discovered marijuana in a duffel bag. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that the drug belonged to Leger. Leger was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $2000 bond.

Keshay Julien, 18, 214 Arizona Ave, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 2, 2012 at 4:56 pm at Wal-Mart in Bayou Vista for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Julien was observed placing merchandise in a backpack. Julien attempted to leave the store with the items valued at about $31. She was released on a summons to appear in court on October 29, 2012.

William J. Roberson, Jr., 27, 107 Homestead Ln, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 1, 2012 at 5:49 pm at the address above for no turn signal, no driver's license on person, resisting an officer, and a warrant for failure to appear. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to signal a turn. Upon coming into contact with the deputy, Roberson, the driver, refused to give his name and began yelling. During the investigation it was learned that Roberson had a warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.
