According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the holiday period the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following additional information:
Sojlander Howard age 24 of 19708 Hwy 182 Jeanerette, La was arrested at the same location on July 9, 2012 at 1235pm on charge of Simple criminal damage to property. Deputies were called to investigate a vehicle that had been damage while parked at Sojlander's house. The vehicle had been left there because it broke down. Sojlander admitted to cutting the tires and breaking the windows resulting in said charges. She was transported to the parish jail for processing and incarceration and released on $750.00 bond.
Glen Rochel age 29 of 135 Laura drive Patterson, La was arrested at 128 Baxter Road Amelia, La on July 9, 2012 at 1015 am on charge of Telephone communications: improper language: harassment. Deputies were called to investigate a report of Glen Rochel making harassing phone calls to the victim. During the investigation Glen was found to be the one making he calls. He was issued a summons to appear in court in October.
Howard Melancon Jr. age 39 of 123 Nikki Lane Charenton La was arrest at same location on July 9, 2012 at 639pm on warrants for Aggravated assault (2 counts), Battery on a police officer, Disturbing the peace intoxicated. On July 4, deputies had responded to the residence where they found that Howard was intoxicated and causing a disturbance he had hit his son then pointed a gun at subjects and pushed a deputy. He was transported to Franklin Foundation hospital for evaluation. He was then arrested on the warrants. He was released on a $3250.00 bond.
