St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Daily Arrest Report

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Joseph L. Estay III 42 yoa of 525 Aucoin St., Morgan City was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 7:08 am for Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense. A deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he observed suspect vehicle fail to signal and stop at stop sign at Frontage Road and Hwy 182. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and during the investigation received consent to search. During a search of vehicle, several marijuana cigarettes were located. After the investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond and was later released.

Dustin Bobbitt 19 yoa of 1562 Prairie Road Circle, Centerville was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 2:24 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. A warrant stems from an investigation into a fight that occurred on Eves St. in Sorrell on 6-25-2012. The suspect turned himself into the Sheriff's Office and was placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.

Geoffrey C. Gilmore 31 yoa of 2990 Second St., Berwick was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 2:49 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. The suspect was located in the Courthouse, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond and was later released.

Dallas Brown 18 yoa of 173 Cherokee St., Charenton was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 3:40 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. A warrant stems from an investigation into a fight that occurred on Eves St. in Sorrell on 6-25-2012. The suspect turned himself into the Sheriff's Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.

Samuel P. Perry III 18 yoa of 624 Bigler St., Franklin was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 6:34 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. A warrant stems from an investigation into a fight that occurred on Eves St. in Sorrell on 6-25-2012. The suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.

Brandon Comeaux 19 yoa of 400 Elm St., Franklin was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 8:14 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. A warrant stems from an investigation into a fight that occurred on Eves St. in Sorrell on 6-25-2012. The suspect turned himself into the Sheriff's Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.

Ozzie L. Savoie 19 yoa of 103 Firmin St., Franklin was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 9:34 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. A warrant stems from an investigation into a Fight that occurred on Eves St. in Sorrell on 6-25-2012. The suspect was located on at 330 Eves St. in Sorrell, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond at this time.

Zachary Lechevalier 23 yoa of 506 Interlude Road, New Iberia, La. was arrested on 6-26-2012 at 11:45 pm for Criminal Trespass. A deputy was called to the Game Stop Parking lot in reference to a vehicle stuck in the ditch. Upon the deputy's arrival, the suspect's vehicle was located stuck in a ditch. The deputy located the suspect, and learned that the suspect had attempted to pass through the ditch with the vehicle when he got stuck. After the investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-12-2012.

Kevin Armelin 24 yoa of 401 Ira St., Jeanerette and Shannah Stanton 26 yoa of 19710 Hwy 182 W. Jeanerette were arrested on 6-26-2012 at 11:58 pm for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. A deputy was standing by at Bosco's Lounge when the above suspect exited the bar fighting. The deputy separated the suspects and placed them under arrest. The suspects were booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond at this time.
