According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Billy M. McFadden 28 yoa of 309 North Starrett Road, Metairie, La. was arrested on 4-25-2012 at 4:04 pm for Simple Criminal Damage to Property. The arrest stems from an investigation where suspect was observed breaking the door at Mike's Lounge in Amelia. The suspect was located and after an investigation, and the suspect was placed under arrest. He was issued a summons to appear in court on 7-11-2012.
Taeleisha Jackson 18 yoa of 2237 Hwy 318, Jeanerette was arrested on 4-25-2012 at 10:05 pm for Simple Battery. A deputy was called to the above location in reference to a battery. Upon the deputy's arrival, it was learned from a complainant that two juveniles were fighting, and the suspect got involved then pushed a juvenile to the ground. After an investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest, and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond at this time.
Ricky D. Morse Jr. 31 yoa of 23125 Hwy 190 East Robert, La., was arrested on 4-26-2012 at 12:17 am for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A deputy along with the Berwick Police Department went to the Sleep Inn and Suites Room # 217 in reference to suspects at the room having warrants for their arrest. Upon the deputy's arrival contact was made with above suspect, and the deputy was advised of the Berwick Police Department having a warrant for the suspect. During the investigation, the deputy observed drug paraphernalia on the dresser in the room and also a bag of marijuana. After the investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest on above the charges, and was issued a summons to appear in court on 7-11-2012. The suspect was then turned over to the Berwick Police Department in reference to a warrant.
Davanta Burdun 19 yoa of 1158 Hwy 83, Ashton was arrested on 4-26-2012 at 4:10 am on a warrant for Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Simple Assault. a deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Sorrell area, when he conducted an investigative stop on two subjects walking. During the investigation it was learned that the above mentioned suspect had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was placed under arrest, and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
