St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert congratulates nine corrections academy graduates who successfully completed a 90 hour Post Level III Corrections Course. On February 28, 2013 the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office held a ceremony at The Forest restaurant in Franklin, LA to recognize the graduates for their accomplishment. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office conducts training for its own personnel as well as law enforcement officers from other local and regional agencies. The Basic Corrections Course includes a wide variety of curriculum such as Department of Corrections guidelines, jail policies and procedures, inmate supervision, defensive tactics, and emergency response.
