The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division reports the following arrests:

Teddi-Christina Pickett, 26, 401 Tite St. Houston, TX was arrested on November 26, 2012 at 5:15 pm on Duke St. In Morgan City, LA for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule III (Vicodin), possession of Legend Drug (Ibuprofen), possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile, and transactions Involving proceeds from drug offenses.

Detectives with the SMPSO Narcotics Division patrolling the Morgan City area observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal at an intersection and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, identified as Teddi-Christina Pickett, detectives were granted consent to search the vehicle and her purse. During the search, detectives located bags of cocaine, over $1,500.00 dollars in cash (US currency), and Ibuprofen and Vicodin pills. The cocaine has an estimated street value of approximately $1,000. During the traffic stop detectives also observed a small child in the back seat of the vehicle. Pickett was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
