According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Trey Jones, 31, 1045 Ciro Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on July 9, 2013 at 2:17 pm on a warrant for second degree battery and warrants for failure to appear on the charges of 2 counts criminal neglect of family and on the charge of possession of marijuana. Jones was also wanted on a warrant from Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office for second degree battery and domestic abuse battery.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Siracusaville area observed Trey Jones walking in a yard. . Detectives were aware that Jones had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. When Jones observed the detectives approaching him, he immediately ran. After a short foot chase, Jones was taken into custody. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
The St. Mary Sheriff's Office warrant for second degree battery stems from an investigation into a battery that occurred in August 2012. A male victim was struck multiple times in the head.
