According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Dean Beranek, 28, 209 Hwy. 182 Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 10, 2013 at 7:09 pm for possession of Schedule II (oxycodone) with intent to distribute and transactions involving drug proceeds.
Kayla Alleman, 28, 112 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 10, 2013 at 7:08 pm on a warrant for theft over $1,000.
While patrolling the Bayou Vista area, detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. During the investigation, detectives located oxycodone pills belonging to a passenger in the vehicle who was identified as Beranek. Beranek did not have a prescription for the pills. Detectives also met with another passenger in the vehicle, identified as Alleman. Alleman was wanted on an active warrant. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
