According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Breyden Oncale, 20, 1014 Onstead St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 16, 2013 at 3:41 pm for possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of drug paraphernalia, and abuse of toxic vapors.
Thomas Remedies, 20, 1410 Second St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 16, 2013 at 3:41 pm for possession of synthetic cannabinoids 2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and abuse of toxic vapors.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Morgan City area observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn and conducted traffic stop near the intersection of Freret Street and Federal Avenue. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Oncale, and the passenger, identified as Remedies. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle. Throughout the course of the investigation, Detectives located synthetic cannabinoids and pipes. Oncale was released on a summons to appear in court on August 23, 2013. Remedies was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Lendell Riles, 23, 521 Tiffany St. #3 Patterson, LA was arrested on May 16, 2013 at 5:52 pm for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute, transactions involving drug proceeds, violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone), possession of a firearm in presence of CDS, and obstruction of justice.
Detectives of the SMPSO Narcotics Division patrolling the Patterson area observed a vehicle suspected by the patrol division to be involved in a disturbance that deputies were currently investigating. Detectives stopped the vehicle on Martin Luther King Boulevard and made contact with the driver, identified as Riles. Riles gave detectives consent to search the vehicle. Detectives located marijuana, crack cocaine, Xanax pills, and a firearm. Also, $560 in cash (U.S. currency) was seized pending forfeiture. Riles was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
