St. Mary Parish Narcotics Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

William Pierre, Jr., 29, 211 Martin Luther King Blvd. Baldwin, LA was arrested on May 9, 2013 at 3:37 pm for possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and violation of a CDS law (Drug Free Zone). Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Baldwin area when they made contact with Pierre on Orphan Home Ln. Detectives received consent to search his person and located cocaine. There were several small children playing in the area. Pierre was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Barron Kenner, 39, 911 First St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 9, 2013 at 7:59 pm for possession of marijuana 3rd Offense.

Carlise Grogan, 22, 506 Barrow St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 9, 2013 at 7:59 pm for possession of marijuana.

Narcotics detectives patrolling the Berwick area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Second St. after the driver failed to signal a turn. Detectives met with the driver, identified as Kenner, and the passenger, identified as Grogan. Detectives smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. After receiving consent to search, detectives located marijuana in the vehicle. Kenner was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. Grogan was released on a summons.

Jason Cavalier, 35, 148 Cremo Lane Patterson, LA was arrested on May 9, 2013 at 6:40 pm on warrants for terrorizing and public intimidation. Narcotics detectives located Cavalier at his residence on the warrants. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Gary Peters, 34, 211 Jones Rd. #1 Four Corners, LA was arrested on May 9, 2013 at 5:11 pm on a warrant for simple battery. He is also charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (crack and cocaine), possession of MDMA with intent to distribute, resisting an officer by flight, and obstruction of justice. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Four Corners area observed Peters who they knew to be wanted on an active warrant. Upon identifying themselves to Peters, he fled on foot. After a short foot chase, detectives apprehended Peters on LA 318. During the course of the subsequent investigation, detectives located crack cocaine and "Mollies", one of many street names for pills of MDMA. Detectives also located $245 in cash (US currency), which was seized pending forfeiture. Peters was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $9,000 bond.
