According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Pebbles Francois, 48, 708 Everrett St, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 7, 2013 at 1:13 pm for failure to signal, possession of marijuana, and switched license plate. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Morgan City area observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal when turning on to Greenwood St. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with driver identified as Francois. During the investigation, detectives were granted verbal consent to search and located marijuana on Francois' person. Detectives also learned that the vehicle's license plate had been switched. Francois was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.
Chantal Ruffin, 23, 1402 James St, Siracusa, LA was arrested on February 7, 2013 at 4:43 pm for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance on the presence of a juvenile, violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone), transactions involving drug proceeds, and 2 counts resisting an officer by force.
Amber Taylor, 23, 410 Levee Rd. #2 Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 7, 2013 at 4:43 pm for possession of marijuana.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducted an investigation on James St. in Siracusa. During the course of the investigation, detectives located marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,850 and approximately $350 in US currency. Ruffin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. Taylor was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.
