The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division reports the following arrests:
Carey Holden, 18, 106 Oneida St., Jeanerette, LA was arrested on October 18, 2012 at 1:29 pm on Henry St. In Patterson, LA for possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute. A deputy investigating a complaint contacted agents with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division to assist. After receiving consent to search a vehicle Xanax pills were located. Holden admitted to agents that he was selling the pills. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Travis Colbert, 33, 2278 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on October 18, 2012 at 4:41 pm on Chitimacha Trail for resisting an officer by flight and warrants for possession of marijuana, resisting and officer by giving false information, stop sign violation, no driver's license, no registration, switched license plate, expired motor vehicle inspection, no insurance resisting, and officer and trespassing. Colbert was also wanted on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana 2nd offense, and criminal trespass. Agents with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Charenton area observed a subject walking at a fast pace away from their police unit. As the police unit turned a corner the subject broke out into a run. Agents then exited the vehicle, identified themselves and advised the subject to stop. The subject, identified as Colbert, fled from agents on foot. Colbert was later apprehended while hiding behind a building. Through the course of the investigation agents learned that Colbert was wanted on multiple warrants. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
