St. Mary Parish daily arrest report for May 27, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over holiday weekend reporting period (Friday-Monday) the Sheriff's Office responded to 154 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Juvenile female, 15, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 23, 2014 at 8:58 am for ungovernable juvenile. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at Patterson High School. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from school personnel that a juvenile female was refusing to listen to a school administrator. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Shanna L. Johnson, 38, 237 Clausen Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on May 23, 2014 at 9:22 am on a warrant from the justice of the peace on the charge of telephone harassment. Johnson turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin after learning of the warrant for her arrest. A deputy released her on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Jaron P. Ourso, 18, 136 Zifful Court, Houma, LA was arrested on May 23, 2014 at 10:02 am for driving on divided highways, failure to change drivers license address within 10 days, possession of schedule I (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dylan T. Barrios, 21, 2552 Highway 308 Labadieville, LA was arrested on May 23, 2014 at 10:02 am for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy patrolling the Highway 90 in Amelia observed a vehicle drive through the median to turn around. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Ourso, and a passenger, Barrios. While speaking with the two occupants, the deputy smelled the odor of burning marijuana. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Ourso was later released on a $4,000. Barrios was later released on a $3,500 bond.

Martha Bordelon, 54, 376 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, LA was arrested on May 23, 2014 at 10:02 am on a warrant from the justice of the peace on the charge of telephone harassment. A deputy received information indicating that Bordelon wanted to turn herself in on the warrant. The deputy located Bordelon at her residence and released her on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Alexander Salgado Perez, 41, 2402 N. Dog River Drive, Mobile, AL was arrested on May 23, 2014 at 11:52 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Saturn Road. Upon arrival, the deputy encountered a male subject coming out of the house holding a baseball bat in an aggressive manner. The subject was detained and identified as Perez. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Perez. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Perez was attempting to engage in fights in with others at the residence. Perez was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $500.

Robert R. McMichael, 22, 1321 Arbor Circle, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 24, 2014 at 2:49 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy conducting a traffic stop in the Bayou Vista area made contact with a passenger in the vehicle who held an active warrant for his arrest. McMichael was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $334.50 bond.

Taylor Murphy, 19, 151 Green Leaf Boulevard, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 24, 2014 at 9:08 am for violation of a protective order.

Nickolas Grimmett, 33, 134 South Verret Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 24, 2014 at 9:08 am for domestic abuse battery.

A deputy responded to a residence on South Verret Street regarding a complaint of a disturbance. The deputy made contact with Grimmett and Murphy. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Grimmett struck a female victim in the face. The deputy also discovered that Murphy violated a protective order against her by having contact with the subject named in the court document. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. Grimmett was released on a $2,500 bond. Murphy was released on a $3,500 bond.

Angela McKenna, 45, 104 Donna Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 24, 2014 at 11:21 am on a warrant from Mobile County Sheriff's Office (Alabama) for failure to appear for drug court. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area made contact with McKenna and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. McKenna was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Ronald Winslow, 54, 1045 Ciro Street, Siracusa, LA was arrested on May 24, 2014 at 7:06 pm on a warrant from Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on the charges of trespassing and failure to pay fine. A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance on Ciro Street made contact with Winslow and learned of the warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Winslow to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Bonnie Dupre, 25, 633 Arenz Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 24, 2014 at 10:29 pm on two warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with Dupre on Mercury Road in Bayou Vista and learned of the active warrants for her arrest. The deputy released Dupre on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Norma Ramirez, 34, 607 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 25, 2014 at 2:57 pm for violation of the parish leash law ordinance. A deputy responded to a complaint of a dog that was loose in the street on Clarke Road. The deputy learned that the animal belonged to Ramirez. The deputy released Ramirez on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Gavin Brown, 18, 173 Cherokee Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on May 26, 2014 at 1:47 am for second degree battery. A deputy responded to a call from Franklin Foundation Hospital regarding a possible battery victim. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Brown struck a male victim repeatedly in the face causing the bone to be fractured. Brown was located with the assistance of the Chitimacha Tribal Police. Following the investigation, a deputy transported Brown to the parish jail for booking. Brown was later released on a $7,500 bond.

Juvenile male, 15, Centerville, LA was arrested on May 26, 2014 at 11:17 am for theft of a motor vehicle, no drivers license, ungovernable juvenile. A deputy responded to a report of a juvenile who stole a vehicle and ran away from home. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located the stolen car, conducted a traffic stop, and made contact with the juvenile who was driving the vehicle. The juvenile was returned to her home. The deputy released the juvenile to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Jonathan Diggs, 23, 163 Roys Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on My 26, 2014 at 1:54 pm on a warrant from Patterson Police for simple assault. A deputy located Diggs at his residence on the warrant. The deputy transported Diggs to the parish jail for booking. Diggs was later released on a $250 bond.

Irving Phillips, Jr., 29, 1110 Lee Charles Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 27, 2014 at 1:05 am for resisting an officer (by flight), carjacking, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A deputy travelling on Highway 182 in Franklin observed a vehicle with inoperable brake lights and no license plate lights and conducted a traffic stop. As the car came to a stop, a male subject exited the vehicle with a shotgun and fled on foot. The deputy pursued the subject while giving loud verbal commands to stop. The foot pursuit continued on Cayce Street and then onto Lee Charles Street where the subject fled into a nearby wooded area. With the assistance of Franklin Police, a perimeter was established. The subject, identified as Phillips, was located at a residence on Lee Charles Street. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Phillips entered the car with the shotgun without the permission of the driver. There were two other occupants in the vehicle at the time Phillips got into the car. No one was injured during the incident which remains under investigation at this time. The deputy transported Phillips to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
