According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Roger Sullivan, 51, 4068 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 22, 2014 at 7:31 am for misuse of the emergency 911 systems and 2 counts resisting an officer. A deputy responded to the address listed above in reference to a complaint of the misuse of the emergency 911 system. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Sullivan used offensive language and made threats towards a 911 operator. The deputy made contact with Sullivan who smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage. Sullivan began making threats towards the deputy. During his arrest, Sullivan pulled away from the deputy on two occasions while continuing to make threats. The deputy transported Sullivan to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a $2,250 bond.
Albert L. Wiggins, 28, 147 Highway 317, Centervillle, LA was arrested on May 22, 2014 at 9:52 am on a warrant from Lafourche Parish for failure to appear on the charges of careless operation of a motor vehicle and no child restraint. A deputy located Wiggins at his residence on the warrant. The deputy transported Wiggins to the parish jail for booking. Wiggins was released on a $2,000.
Ricky L. Tate, Jr., 31, 4658 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 22, 2014 at 3:29 pm on a warrant for 3 counts simple burglary and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of illegal possession of stolen things. A detective investigating a complaint of a burglary developed information that Tate was in possession of the items reported stolen from a business in the Garden City area in December 2013. The detective located the items at Tate's residence. A deputy transported Tate from the St. Landry Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant.
Juvenile male, 14, Centerville, LA was arrested on May 22, 2014 at 7:31 pm for violating parish ordinance off road vehicles on public roads prohibited. A deputy travelling on Highway 317 observed an ATV 4 wheeler vehicle driving on the roadway and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, who was identified as a juvenile. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Michael Wilkerson, 23, 214 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 22, 2014 at 11:22 pm for disturbing the peace (foul language). A deputy responding to a disturbance at a residence on Mars Road in Bayou Vista made contact with Wilkerson. During the course of the investigation, Wilkerson repeatedly refused to stop using vulgar language while he was outside speaking with the deputy. The deputy released Wilkerson on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.
