According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Dakota Crawford, 120 Oxford Loop, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 21, 2014 at 1:47 pm on a warrant for theft. A deputy located Crawford at the St. Mary Parish courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a theft that occurred in Bayou Vista. The deputy transported Crawford to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville for booking. Crawford was later released on a $1,000 bond.
Arthur J. Streetman, 23, 761 Utah Street, Lot #15 B, Berwick, LA was arrested on May 21, 2014 at 4:53 pm for possession of Schedule I drugs and no drivers license on person. A deputy investigating a complaint of two suspicious persons in a vehicle at the Berwick boat landing located a vehicle matching a given description and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Streetman, as well as a passenger in the vehicle. While speaking with Streetman, the deputy discovered that there were illegal drugs inside the vehicle. The deputy located a small bag of marijuana in the car. The deputy also learned that Streetman did not have a drivers license with him. The deputy released Streetman on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.
Neopatrick Jeanlewis, 50, 805 Morris Charles Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on May 21, 2014 at 5:04 pm on a warrant for violation of a protective order. A deputy transported Jeanlewis from the Madison Parish Detention Center to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Jeanlewis was released on a $1,500 bond.
Melanie Stevens, 25, #4 Rembert Court, Houma, LA was arrested on May 21, 2014 at 7:14 pm for possession of Schedule I drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives observed a subject sleeping in a vehicle at a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. Detectives made contact with the subject, identified as Stevens. While speaking with Stevens, detectives observed several burnt marijuana cigarettes inside the vehicle. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a pack of rolling papers and a pack of Black Magic Herbal Incense (synthetic marijuana). Detectives transported Stevens to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $3,500.
Melissa Ribardi-Evans, 44, 1400 Canal Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 21, 2014 at 8:18 pm on a warrant for distribution of methamphetamine. The warrant stems from an investigation into illegal drug activity during which Ribardi-Evans sold methamphetamine to an undercover narcotics detective. Rebardi, who was incarcerated at the Morgan City jail, was transported to the parish jail on the warrant for booking. No bond is set.
