St. Mary Parish daily arrest report for June 26, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Angela M. Weber, 809 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 25, 2014 at 1:59 pm on a warrant for 6 counts of forgery and on a warrant for 6 counts of theft. A detective with the Criminal Investigation Division located Weber at her residence on the warrants. The warrants stem from an investigation into a complaint of a theft of checks. The detective determined that Weber, the male victim's caretaker, took six checks and used them to purchase over $400 in goods at a store in Bayou Vista. Weber was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set. A picture of Weber is included.

Donald Lightfoot, 27, 271 Grandwood Drive, Apt. #32, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 25, 2014 at 6:16 pm for domestic abuse battery, possession of a Schedule I drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responded to a request to remove a subject from a residence in the Patterson area. During the subsequent investigation, the deputy learned that Lightfoot and a female subject were arguing when Lightfoot struck the female victim in the stomach area. While speaking with Lightfoot at his residence, the deputy observed a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana alongside an item of drug paraphernalia. Lightfoot was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set. A picture of Lightfoot is included.

Destiny J. Landry, 39, 532 Arcemont Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 26, 2014 at 3:38 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of contempt of court, failure to use a seatbelt, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a subject walking near the intersection of Southeast Boulevard and Highway 182. The deputy stopped to speak with the subject who was identified as Landry. While speaking with Landry, the deputy learned of the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Landry to the parish jail for booking. Bond is set at $100.

Please note that the following two arrests were made on June 24, 2014.

Charles Walker, Jr., 30, 415 Highway 21 Schriever, LA was arrested at 1:00 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of second degree battery and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple criminal trespass and simple criminal damage to property. Walker was transported from another jurisdiction to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrants. Bond is set at $5,500.

Carla J. Johnson, 52, 317 5th Street Apt. E, Morgan City, LA was arrested at 11:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of second degree battery and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Johnson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrants by Morgan City Police. He was booked. No bond is set.
