St. Mary Parish daily arrest report for June 24, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Juvenile male, 16, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 23, 2014 at 11:07 am on a warrant for the charges of ungovernable juvenile and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy located the juvenile at the parish courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a report of runaway juvenile. When the juvenile returned home, he and another subject were involved in an argument. During the argument, the juvenile damaged a door of the residence. The juvenile was released to the custody of the Office of Juvenile Justice.

Kimberley M. Gorman, 21, 1218 Weber Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 23, 2014 at 1:55 pm on two warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Gorman turned herself in after learning of the warrants for her arrest. A deputy transported Gorman to the parish jail for booking. Bond is set at $200,000.

Ronald L. Johnson, 51, 313 Ditch Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 23, 2014 at 2:25 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of cocaine. Johnson was turned in for bond surrender and subsequently booked on the warrant. Bond is set at $10,000.

Christopher G. Fryar, 31, 112 Pond Drive, Bayou L'Ourse, LA was arrested on June 23, 2014 at 2:25 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs 2nd offense and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Fryar was turned in for bond surrender and subsequently booked on the warrant. Fryar was later released on a $6,000 bond.

Darius Jackson, 25, 1603 Main Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 24, 2014 at 12:39 am on the following charges:
- Resisting an officer by giving false information
- Resisting a police officer with force or violence
- Criminal trespass
- Possession of Schedule I drugs
- Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Zhane Pool, 20, 4405 Old Jeanerette Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 24, 2014 at 12:39 am for possession of Schedule I drugs and violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone).

A deputy patrolling the Franklin area observed a vehicle parked in Verdun Park off of South Clausen Road. When the deputy approached the vehicle, a male subject exited the car. The deputy ordered the subject to identifiy himself. At that time the subject fled on foot. The deputy pursued the subject as he ran through a yard on Verdun Lane. As the deputy closed in on the fleeing subject, the man attempted to strike the deputy with his fist. The subject, identified as Jackson, was apprehended. The deputy returned to the park vehicle and identified a female subject inside the car as Pool. As the investigation continued, the deputy located a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana inside the vehicle. The deputy transported Jackson and Pool to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set. Pictures of both subjects are included.

Jason Cavalier, 36, 148 Cremo Lane Patterson, LA was arrested on June 23, 2014 at 9:29 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule II (cocaine)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Obstruction of justice

Lenessa Stroud, 26, 725 Kem Street Patterson, LA was arrested on June 23, 2014 at 9:29 pm on the following charges:
- Failure to dim headlights
- Possession of Schedule II (cocaine)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Obstruction of justice
St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division Detectives observed a vehicle fail to dim headlights as it passed and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Stroud, and a passenger, identified as Cavalier. During the traffic stop investigation, detectives observed both subjects attempt to conceal cocaine. Detectives also located a glass pipe in the vehicle. Detectives transported Stroud and Cavalier to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set. Pictures of both subjects are included.
