St. Mary Parish daily arrest report for June 18, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Randy S. Landry, 38, 214 Universe Street Apt. #40, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 17, 2014 at 8:19 am on the following charges:
- Warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court
- Warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and license plate light required
- Warrant for hit and run driving, reckless operation of a vehicle, and driving under suspension
A deputy transported Landry from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrants. No bond is set.

Wanya Francis, 19, 113 Live Oak Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 17, 2014 at 9:04 am for simple battery, disturbing the peace, and simple criminal damage to property. Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress at a residence on Saturn Road and made contact with Francis who was arguing with another male subject. Through the investigation, deputies learned that during a previous argument Francis pushed a female subject against a wall of the residence and damaged a cell phone that belonged to a second female victim. A deputy transported Francis to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Juvenile male, 16, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 17, 2014 at 12:36 pm for theft of goods and remaining where forbidden. While responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista, a deputy learned from store personnel that the juvenile was seen taking items from the packaging and concealing them on his person. The juvenile had previously been banned from the store. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Dania Ventura, 31, 1262 Barrow Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 17, 2014 at 2:26 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista learned from store personnel that Ventura was seen concealing items in her purse. Ventura then attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. Ventura was released on a summons to appear on court on September 3, 2014.

Angela M. Curtis, 27, 230 Sanders Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 17, 2014 at 7:12 pm for entering contraband into a penal institution and 2 counts possession of Schedule IV drugs. Curtis was booked into the parish jail on charges from another agency. During a search of Curtis at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, deputies located alprazolam and lorazepam pills. No bond is set.
