St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report for July 28 ,2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 122 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Bianca Prince, 23, 427 9th Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 25, 2014 at 7:16 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. During a booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, a deputy learned that Prince held an outstanding warrant. No bail is set.

Dalia Perez-Copado, 40, 110 Nicole Lane, Berwick, LA was arrested on July 25, 2014 at 11:41 am for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Perez-Copado was seen concealing items on her person before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Perez-Copado was released on a summons to appear in court on October 13, 2014.

Jeana Williams, 21, 617 Utah Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on July 25, 2014 at 3:42 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. A deputy received information that Williams was at the Berwick Police Department and arrested her there on the warrant. The deputy transported Williams to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Lloyd Robinson, 32, 939 Short Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 26, 2014 at 12:24 am for possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy patrolling the Sorrel area observed a male subject sitting in a vehicle placing a green vegetable like substance into a cigar wrapper. When the deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Robinson, he attempted to throw the substance out of the vehicle. The deputy identified the substance as marijuana and released Robinson on a summons to appear in court on October 13, 2014.

Francis Vallot, 27, 3108 College Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 26, 2014 at 1:05 am for aggravated assault with a firearm. A deputy responded to a complaint of a fight at a bar on Highway 182 in Jeanerette. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Vallot pointed a handgun at a crowd at the location. The deputy transported Vallot to the parish jail for booking. Vallot was later released on a $7,500 bond.

Leon E. Lipari, 31, 271 Grandwood Drive, Apt. #42, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 26, 2014 at 1:05 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Patterson. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Lipari and a female subject were engaged in an argument when Lipari threw the female victim to the ground. The deputy transported Lipari to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Tyler J. Adams, 20, 209 Glenwood Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 26, 2014 at 1:10 am on a warrant for failure to appear and on a warrant from Terrebonne Parish for failure to appear. A deputy made contact with Adams at residence on Pluto Street in Bayou Vista and learned of the active warrants for his arrest. Adams was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

David Lodrigue, 62, 1241 Opperman Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 26, 2014 at 1:40 am for criminal trespass, simple assault, and disturbing the peace (intoxication). A deputy patrolling the area of Centerville was dispatched to a complaint of a suspicious person attempting to enter a residence on Cane Road. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Lodrigue and detained him. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Lodrigue beat loudly on the door of the residence attempting to enter the home. The deputy also smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Lodrigue. The deputy transported Lodrigue to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,750.

Russell Richard, Jr., 47, 224 Collins Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 27, 2014 at 12:37 am for criminal trespass. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person on Yokely Road. During the investigation, the deputy made contact with Richard on Willow Street and determined that Richard had been trespassing on private property located on Yokely Road. The deputy transported Richard to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a summons to appear in court on October 13, 2014.

Jose Ortega, 47, 812 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on 1:37 am for hit and run driving, no drivers license, and possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy responded to a complaint of a vehicle striking several mail boxes on Aucoin Street in Amelia. Using information provided by the complainant, the deputy located Ortega and a vehicle matching the description of the one that hit the mailboxes. During the course of the investigation, the deputy discovered damage to the vehicle that matched damage to the mailboxes. The deputy also observed an open bottle of beer inside the vehicle. The deputy transported Ortega to the parish jail for booking. Ortega was later released on a $1,750 bond.

Gregory S. Payne, 39, 1900 Saturn Road Lot #1, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 27, 2014 at 6:50 pm on two warrants for failure to appear. A deputy made contact with Payne at his residence. The deputy transported Payne to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Charleston Grogan, 19, 271 Grandwood Drive, Apt. #2, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 28, 2014 at 1:53 am on a warrant for domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy made contact with Grogan at his residence and learned of the warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of a battery. The deputy determined that Grogan shoved a female victim against a wall breaking her glasses. Grogan was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jernell Payne, 36, 500 Park Street, Apt. #23, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 28, 2014 at 2:43 am for turning movements and required signals and on a Patterson Police Department warrant for simple battery involving domestic violence. A deputy observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto Highway 90 in the Patterson area and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Payne, and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Payne to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
