St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report for July 25, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

Edwin Calloway, 33, 101 3B's Lane Apt. #3 Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 24, 2014 at 2:46 pm on two warrants for distribution of cocaine. Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Bayou Vista area when they observed Calloway on Pluto Street standing outside of an apartment complex. Detectives knew that Calloway was wanted on the warrants and made the arrest. The warrants stem from undercover operations in which Calloway sold cocaine to narcotics detectives. Calloway was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.


Brady Broussard, 38, 1209 Chestnut Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 24, 2014 at 4:03 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
- Possession of Schedule IV (Klonopin)
- Possession of Legend Drug (Toradal)
- Possession of Legend Drug (Trilafon)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Driving under suspension
- Improper lane usage

Stacey Grubb, 33, 401 Venus Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 24, 2014 at 6:43 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor

Scott Dehart, 33, 401 Venus Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 24, 2014 at 6:43 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
- Possession of Schedule I (LSD)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor
- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
- Transactions involving drug proceeds

Narcotics detectives patrolling the Morgan City area stopped a vehicle for committing a traffic violation on Highway 90. Detectives discovered that the driver, Broussard, was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Also during the traffic stop, detectives located a bag of methamphetamine, Klonopin, Taradal, and Trilafon pills as well as several items of drug paraphernalia including spoons, syringes, and a tourniquet inside the vehicle. Through the course of the investigation, detectives developed information that illegal drug activity was taking place at 401 Venus Street in Bayou Vista and made contact with two residents identified as Grubb and Dehart. Detectives carried out a search warrant at the location and discovered several bags of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $14,000, a bag of LSD, a handgun, and several items of drug paraphernalia: spoons, plastic bags, syringes, and digital scales. Narcotics detectives also located $1,121 in cash, which was seized pending forfeiture. Detectives believe the money is proceeds from illegal drug transactions. A 4 year old boy was also located at the residence. The child was released into the care of a family member. Broussard, Grubb, and Dehart were transported to the St. Mary Parish law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set. These arrests were made with the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division and the Berwick Police Department.
