St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report for July 2, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jarell Thomas, 22, 1423 Live Oak Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 1, 2014 at 3:21 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned from store personnel that an employee, identified as Thomas, was seen on video surveillance leaving the store with items for which she did not pay. Thomas was released on a summons to appear in court on October 13, 2014.

Glenn L. Rochel, Jr., 31, 135 Laura Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 1, 2014 at 3:25 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple assault and telephone harassment. Rochel turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. He was later released on a $2,000.

Robert Narcisse, 26, 418 Highway 318, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 1, 2014 at 6:54 pm for simple battery of the infirm, 2 counts simple battery, simple criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace (foul language). A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence on Highway 318. Upon arrival, the deputy observed several people standing over a subject who was lying on the ground. The deputy made contact with Narcisse and detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned from witnesses and other evidence that Narcisse punched a 27 year old male victim in the stomach. Two other male subjects were also struck as they attempted to prevent Narcisse from striking the victim. Narcisse then punched the door of a nearby shed damaging it. The deputy transported Narcisse to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set. A picture of Narcisse is included.


Claiborne Fabre, 26, 120 Legnon Court, Bayou L'ourse, LA was arrested on July 1, 2014 at 3:23 pm for possession of counterfeit controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute and on a warrant from Morgan City Police for failure to appear for traffic violations. Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division came into contact with Fabre at a business in Bayou Vista. Detectives knew that Fabre held an active warrant for arrest through the Morgan City Police Department. Detectives advised Fabre of the warrant and placed him under arrest. During a search of Fabre, detectives found several cellophane bags of counterfeit crystal methamphetamine and several bags of counterfeit MDMA (ecstasy) pills. Detectives learned during the investigation that Fabre intended on selling the counterfeit drugs. Detectives transported Fabre to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set. Darryl Grogan, 51, 200 Williams Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 1, 2014 at 7:44 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of distribution of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Morgan City area observed Grogan walking on Federal Avenue. Detectives knew Grogan to be wanted on the active warrants. Grogan was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bond is set.
