St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 120 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Paulette Lewis, 45, 957 Lot A Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 2, 2014 at 11:24 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy made contact with Lewis during a traffic stop and discovered the warrant for her arrest. Lewis was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $5,000.

Christina L. Hornsby, 35, 639 Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 5, 2014 at 4:33 pm on a warrant for 2 counts issuing worthless checks. A deputy working a vehicle crash on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista learned that one of the drivers, Hornsby, held an active warrant for her arrest. Hornsby was released on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Jon A. Sergeant, 63, 225 Hunting Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 2, 2014 at 9:05 pm for violating the parish vicious dog ordinance. A deputy responded to a complaint of a possible dog bite victim being treated at Franklin Foundation Hospital. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Sergeant's dog bit a 12 year old male victim on the calf while he and another child were playing together in Sergeant's yard. Sergeant was released on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Brett Legendre, 21, 4934 Highway 182 W, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 3, 2014 at 2:27 am for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated 2nd offense, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area saw the driver of a vehicle exit a parking lot at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle to spray gravel. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver who was identified as Legendre. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Legendre's breath and person and also observed Legendre to be swaying side to side where he stood. The deputy conducted a field sobriety test on which Legendre performed poorly. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located a pipe containing suspected marijuana. Legendre was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Charles Clements, 46, 155 Adorn Street, Carver, MA was arrested on May 3, 2014 at 10:48 am for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Clements attempted to leave the store without paying for items that he concealed on his person. Clements was released on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Juvenile female, 16, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 3, 2014 at 3:18 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that the teenager was seen on video surveillance concealing items on her person before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Neal J. Latiolais, 49, 2437 Cecilia High School Highway, Cecilia, LA was arrested on May 3, 2014 at 8:12 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person on Ricohoc Drive in Ricohoc. The deputy made contact with a male subject matching the complainant's description. The subject as identified as Latiolais. While speaking with Latiolais, the deputy observed him to be disoriented and confused. Acadian Ambulance was contacted and Latiolais was ultimately transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital for treatment. Latiolais was released on a summons to appear in court on August 22, 2014.

Raymond Migues, Jr., 48, 440 Field Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 4, 2014 at 12:56 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a residence on Field Road in reference to a report of domestic abuse. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Migues pushed a female victim and twisted her hand. Migues was located at a business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Jonathan R. Sanders, 33, 214 Happy Acres Lot #5, Baldwin, LA was arrested on May 4, 2014 at 6:12 am for disturbing the peace, obstructing a public passage, 2 counts resisting an officer, threatening a public official, and misuse of 911. A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person on Highway 83 in the Ashton area. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a male subject standing in the roadway. As the deputy continued to approach in a police unit, the subject stepped in front of the unit. The deputy identified the subject as Sanders. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Sanders also stepped out in front of the complainant's vehicle. While speaking with Sanders, the deputy smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Sanders was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital for treatment. While there, Sanders repeatedly threatened the deputy and also yelled profanities at medical personnel. Also, Sanders dialed 911 emergency services twice while being treated at the hospital. Just prior to being transported to the parish jail, Sanders repeatedly pulled away from the deputy. No bond is set.

Tyrone Moore, 41, 140 Mill Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 4, 2014 at 3:47 am for hit and run driving, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and simple assault. A deputy located a vehicle in a ditch on Highway 182 in the Patterson area with its engine still running. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Moore, was located approximately one mile from the vehicle and was requesting medical attention. Moore was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center for treatment. After completing the investigation at the crash site, the deputy went to the hospital to speak with Moore. Medical personnel informed the deputy that upon arrival, Moore refused treatment and left the hospital. The deputy located Moore at his residence and transported him to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. During booking, Moore threatened to strike a jailer. Moore was released on a $1,750 bond.

Nicole Benedietto, 30, 151 Uranus Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 4, 2014 at 9:10 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disobeying a traffic light and speeding. A deputy located Benedietto at her residence on the warrant. Benedietto was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Benedietto was released on $374.50 bond.

Juvenile male, 15, Patterson was arrested on May 4, 2014 at 6:00 pm for ungovernable juvenile (runaway). A deputy responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. The deputy located the juvenile in the Patterson area. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
