St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 43 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Emmette Abraham, 40 307 Pickett Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on May 1, 2014 at 10:50 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Abraham at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Abraham was released on a $2,520 bond.

Juleesa Brown, 22, 115 Jones Road #2, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on May 1, 2014 at 3:08 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned from store personnel that Brown was seen on video surveillance concealing items in her purse before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Brown was released on a summons to appear on court on August 22, 2014.

Terrell Poole, 23, 1045 Ramos Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 1, 2014 at 10:57 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana).

Bryson Skinner, 19, 1061 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 1, 2014 at 10:57 pm on the following charges:
- Stop light violation
- General speed law
- Flight from an officer
- Resisting an officer
- Driving under suspension
- 2 counts child passenger restraint
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle without a drivers license

A deputy travelling on Highway 182 in Amelia observed an SUV on Duhon Bypass Road approach the intersection at a high rate of speed and drive through a red light. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle failed to pull over and continued to travel on Highway 182 towards Siracusaville. The SUV stopped only after the driver pulled too close to another vehicle and was unable to maneuver around it. The deputy then commanded the driver and passenger to exit the vehicle. The driver was identified as Skinner and the passenger as Poole. While being placed in handcuffs, Skinner pulled away from the deputy in an attempt to free himself. As the deputy continued the investigation, he located two toddlers in the vehicle who were not properly restrained. Also, a small amount of marijuana was located in the SUV by a Morgan City police officer who responded to assist with the traffic stop. The deputy transported Skinner and Poole to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set for Skinner. Bond for Poole is set at $2,000.

Yvonne A. Carson, 39, 603 Martin Luther King Blvd, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 1, 2014 at 4:07 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute
- Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
- Possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile
Shannon D. Carson, 40, 603 Martin Luther King Blvd, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 1, 2014 at 4:07 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute
- Possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile
- Violation of CDS Law (drug free zone)
- Obstruction of justice
- Resisting an officer with force
- Transactions involving drug proceeds
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at the above listed address. Upon seeing detectives arrive at the residence, Shannon Carson ran inside the residence. Detectives pursued Carson and apprehended him as he was attempting to consume crack cocaine. Detectives located more crack cocaine inside the residence along with over $600 in cash (US currency). There was a teenaged juvenile present at the residence at the time the warrant was carried out. Yvonne Carson and Shannon Carson were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.
