St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 104 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Sidney Elair, 56, 8509 Highway 90 Frontage Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on April 25, 2014 at 10:32 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of battery on a police officer and disturbing the peace. A deputy responding to a complaint at the residence listed above made contact with Elair and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Elair was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $10,000.

Charles L. Merrett, 34, 404 Williams Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 25, 2014 at 2:31 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. During booking at the at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, the booking deputy learned of an active warrant for Merrett's arrest. No bond is set.

Larandan K. Hawkins, 24, 219 Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 25, 2014 at 10:48 pm on a warrant from St. Martin Parish for failure to appear on the charge of failure to obey a traffic signal. A deputy responding to a complaint made contact with Hawkins and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Hawkins was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Shawn Thompson, 36, 107 Lambert Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 26, 2014 at 3:43 am for disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Lambert Lane. Upon arrival, the deputy heard loud noises from inside the residence. The deputy made contact with Thompson, who admitted to yelling during an argument with a female subject. Thompson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Thompson was later released on a $500 bond.

Harley N. Rentrop, 20, 158 Aucoin Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 27, 2014 at 12:31 am for disturbing the peace.

Alvin Farrande, 26, 101 Pluto Road #11, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 27, 2014 at 1:09 am for aggravated battery, simple criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace.

A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance involving a knife at an apartment complex on Pluto Road. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Rentrop who refused to stop yelling and cursing at another subject. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Farrande chased a male victim with a knife during an argument. The victim sustained a cut on his hand. Farrande also broke a window at the residence. Rentrop and Farrande were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Farrande's bond is set at $15,750. Rentrop was released on a $250 bond.

Kristopher L. Savoie, 34, 122 Todd Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 27, 2014 at 3:27 pm on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Savoie turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville after learning of the warrant for his arrest. Bond is set at $100,000.
