St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report


A juvenile male, 16, Morgan City, LA and a juvenile female, 15, Baldwin, LA were both arrested on April 11, 2014 at 8:24 am for simple battery. A deputy assigned to the St. Mary Parish Alternative School observed two students fighting in a classroom. The students were separated and, following an investigation, released to their guardians pending juvenile court proceedings.


John Walsh, 33, 196 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 11, 2014 at 4:27 pm on three warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy investigating a complaint of a suspicious person made contact with Walsh at a shopping center off of Highway 90 in Bayou Vista and learned of the warrants for his arrest. Walsh was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Eddie Brown, IV, 41, 1370 Joseph Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 11, 2014 at 9:03 pm for failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Highway 182. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle identified as Brown. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Brown did not possess a drivers license and that the ID in Brown's possession had been altered to hide his sex offender status. Brown was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was also cited for the traffic offenses. Brown was later released on a $10,000 bond. A picture of Brown is included.

Frankie Tarver, II, 24, 3577 Francis Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 12, 2014 at 1:35 am on two warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy received information from Morgan City Police that Tarver had been stopped by their agency and that he held active warrants through the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. A deputy made contact with Tarver and placed him under arrest on the warrants. Tarver was released on a summons to appear in court on July 11, 2012.

Brandon Hatch, 19, 100 Lincoln Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 12, 2014 at 11:17 am for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Hatch was seen concealing items on his person. Hatch then attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. Hatch was released on a summons to appear in court on July 11, 2014.

Terry M. Menard, 54, 129 Shannon Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 13, 2014 at 9:43 am for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery at a residence on Shannon Street in Patterson. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Menard grabbed a male victim scratching him on the arms. Menard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Menard was later released on a $500 bond.
Tanner Beglau, 26, 1271 Catherine Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 13, 2014 at 6:50 pm for possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to use a seatbelt. A deputy responded to a report of possible illegal drug use by an employee of a company located on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. The deputy made contact with Beglau and learned of the active warrant for his arrest. During a search of Beglau's person, the deputy located a glass pipe and a crystalline substance identified as methamphetamine. Beglau was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
