St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 26 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Phillip Randolph, 22, 131 Big Bear Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 31, 2014 at 11:38 am for theft of a motor vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Big Bear Lane in reference to a report of a stolen vehicle. During the course of the investigating, the deputy identified Randolph as a suspect in the crime. The deputy made contact with Randolph who agreed to return the car to the owner. The vehicle was returned. Randolph was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Roger Short, 28, 6345 Mary Street, Gibson, LA was arrested on March 31, 2014 at 5:41 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a report of a theft at a business on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from the manager that Short, an employee, was attempting to leave the business with an item hidden inside one of his boots. Short was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Richard Franklin, 55, 903 S. Laurel Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on April 1, 2014 at 2:41 am for possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine).

Rayniece Gary, 30, 1715 Harry D. Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 1, 2014 at 2:54 am for possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) and failure to signal a turn.

A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle fail to signal and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182. During the course of the investigation, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a piece of crack cocaine. Additional pieces of the drug were also located on Franklin's person. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Rodney J. Courville, 38, 19204 West Liberty Farm Road, Abbeville, LA was arrested on March 31, 2014 at 5:45 pm for felony theft by shoplifting (over $500) and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival,. The deputy learned from store personnel that Courville was seen placing items in a shopping basket and then leaving the store without paying for the goods. Courville was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Brandon L. Boudreaux, 28, 3004 Lizabeth Drive, Morgan City, LA is charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids and abuse of toxic vapors.
Kimber N. Thompson, 26, 375 Pacific St. Berwick, LA is charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids, abuse of toxic vapors, and possession of a Legend Drug (Clinosil) without a prescription.
Cody P. Pearce, 25, 116 Rose Street, Berwick, LA is charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids 2nd offense, abuse of toxic vapors, and on a warrant for second degree battery.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducting an investigation at a motel in Morgan City located synthetic cannabinoids and Clinosil pills in one of the rooms. Thompson and Pearce were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. Boudreaux was released on a summons to appear in court on June 12, 2014. The warrant for Pearce's arrest stems from an investigation into a report of a 16 year old male who was punched in the face and sustained a broken jaw as a result of the attack. The investigation revealed that the incident occurred on November 7, 2013 when the victim was visiting a friend's residence on Hunting Road in Ricohoc. Pearce, who was also at the residence, pushed the victim and then punched the victim.
