St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 126 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Russell D. Allen, 44, 3508 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on March 28, 2014 at 9:43 am for four counts of theft and four counts of forgery. During an investigation into a complaint of a theft, a detective learned that Allen forged a former employer's personal checks and cashed them at local banks. Allen was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Glenn L. Rochel, Jr., 31, 3028 Allison Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 28, 2014 at 11:05 am on two warrants from the Justice of the Peace for telephone harassment and simple assault. A deputy located Rochel at his residence on the warrants. Rochel was released on a summons to appear in court on June 12, 2014.

Heather Jazmin, 22, 738 Duval Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on March 28, 2014 at 6:28 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista learned from personnel that Jazmin was seen placing items in her purse before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Jazmin was released on a summons to appear in court on June 12, 2014.

Heather Banda, 36, 208 South Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 28, 2014 at 10:36 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area made contact with Banda and learned of the warrants for her arrest. Banda was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $16,890.61.

Devon M. Bardash, 25, 112 Meadowbrook, Broussard, LA was arrested on March 29, 2014 at 4:30 am for criminal trespass. A deputy responded to a complaint of trespassing at a residence in Charenton. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Bardash was banging on the door of a residence and verbally threatened the homeowner. The homeowner fired a small caliber handgun at Bardash striking him in the leg. Bardash was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released. Bardash was then transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Stephanie Carey, 48, 403 Clark Street, Franklin, LA and Rachelle Madison, 44, 298 Easy Street, Franklin, LA were arrested on March 30, 2014 at 5:39 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista learned from personnel that Carey and Madison were seen placing items in their purses before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Both were released on summonses to appear in court on June 12, 2014.
