St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Earl Butler, 48, 308 Coma Street Patterson, LA was arrested on March 17, 2014 at 10:13 am on a warrant from probation and parole for parole violation. A deputy made contact with Butler at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City and discovered the active warrant for Butler's arrest. Butler was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

Demarcus Mcbride, 26, 102 T.J. Hatcherson Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on March 17, 2014 at 11:44 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of second degree battery. A deputy located Mcbride at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. Mcbride was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

Christopher Singleton, 28, 154 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on the following charges:
Domestic abuse battery, 4th offense
Theft of a firearm
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to use a seatbelt and no drivers license
Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse battery and simple battery
Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse battery
Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of expired motor vehicle inspection
Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, improper display of license plate, failure to secure vehicle registration, operating a vehicle with no insurance, disturbing the peace, and resisting an officer
Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple criminal damage to property and reckless operation of a vehicle
A deputy responding to a complaint of a battery at a residence on Friendship Alley in Amelia, developed Singleton as a suspect in the crime. Singleton is accused of pushing a female victim against a wall and slapping her in the face during an argument. He then took the victim's handgun and left the residence. Deputies located Singleton at a residence on Julia Street. The handgun, belonging to the victim, was recovered from that location. Singleton was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

Kenneth Allen, Jr., 47, 109 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 17, 2014 at 11:05 pm for remaining where forbidden and disturbing the peace (intoxication). A deputy responded to a bar in Bayou Vista in reference to a complaint of a subject who refused to leave. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Allen who appeared to be in a highly intoxicated state. The deputy escorted Allen from the establishment and transported him to a local hospital for treatment. Following his release, Allen was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bail is set at $1,000.

Dimas Renteria, 42, 220 Amelia Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 18, 2014 at 2:02 am for disturbing the peace (intoxication) and resisting an officer with force. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a lounge on Highway 182 in Amelia. The deputy made contact with Renteria who was yelling at another subject inside of a vehicle. The deputy observed Renteria to be in a highly intoxicated state. The deputy asked Renteria to step out of the vehicle and proceeded to conduct a check of Renteria's person for the deputy's safety. Renteria refused to comply, repeatedly pulling away from the deputy. Renteria was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.
