St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Norris P. Touchet, Jr., 42, 7158 Main Hwy. 31, St. Martinville, LA was arrested on March 12, 2014 at 10:15 am on a warrant for illegal possession of stolen things. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's office received a complaint of a theft of brass fasteners from a business in Amelia on March 7, 2014. The detective assigned to the investigation located the stolen items at a local scrap yard and identified the person who sold the brass for scrap as Touchet. The fasteners were recovered. Touchet was located at his residence on the warrant. Bail is set at $2,500.

Douglas Dilsaver, 31, 112 Moon Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 12, 2014 at 1:11 pm for theft of goods and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. According to store personnel, Dilsaver was seen placing items in an ice chest. Dilsaver paid for the ice chest but failed to purchase the items inside. The deputy also learned that Dilsaver held an active warrant for his arrest. Dilsaver was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

Rodney Granger, 20, 543 Verdun Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 12, 2014 at 6:06 pm on two warrants both for failure to appear on the charges of speeding. A deputy responded to a vehicle crash on Duhon Bypass Road in Amelia. During the investigation, the deputy learned that one of the drivers, Granger, held active warrants for his arrest. Granger was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on $669.00 bail.

Dawn A. Landry, 39, 407 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on March 12, 2014 at 7:38 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. According to store personnel, Landry did not pay for items that she had placed on her person and in a shopping basket before attempting to leave the store. Landry was released on a summons to appear on court on June 12, 2014.

Lydia Cruz, 28, 911 Chestnut Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 12, 2014 at 11:23 pm for simple criminal damage to property. Answering a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Barrow Street in Amelia, a deputy made contact with Cruz. Cruz was involved in an argument with a male subject. During the argument, Cruz broke a window of the home. Cruz was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bail is set at $500.

Sterling A. Scully, 50, 1413 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on March 11, 2014 at 11:21 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Deputies with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Marine Division patrolling Bayou Bouef made contact with Scully at the Amelia Boat Landing. While speaking with Scully, the deputies learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Scully was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bail is set at $8,357.13.
