St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:


Michael L. Raymond, Jr., 35, 208 Kathleen Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 8:26 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Raymond at his residence. Raymond was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

Eric Fontenot, 56, 627 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 9:01 am on a warrant from Patterson Police for cyberstalking. A deputy responding to a complaint at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City made contact with Fontenot who held an active warrant for arrest. Fontenot was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail is set.

Floyd Polidore, Jr., 30, 612 St. John Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 11:05 am on warrants for failure to register and notify as a sex offender and failure to obtain special identification card (sex offender). Polidore turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin after learning of the warrants for his arrest. Polidore was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. A picture of Polidore is included.

Jessie M. Murdock, 59, 511 St. Nicholas Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 12:58 pm on two warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy responding to a vehicle crash on Yokely Road in Franklin made contact with Murdock who was wanted on the active warrant. Murdock was released on a summons to appear on court on May 22, 2014.

Sadie Percle, 21, 1106 Chester Bowles Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 12:21 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Percle turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Percle was released on a $1,500 bond.

Gad Abraham, 33, 441 ½ Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 4:17 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of a battery that occurred at a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Abraham slapped a female victim in the face. Abraham was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bail is set at $500.

Lucas Lang, 25, 108 Timothy Street, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 5:09 pm for theft of goods and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to use a seatbelt, open alcoholic container, and driving under suspension.

Morgan Stewart, 23, 108 Timothy Street, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 5:09 pm for theft of goods.

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Lang and Stewart were seen placing items in a diaper bag before leaving the store without paying for the goods. Stewart was released on a summons to appear in court on May 22, 2014. Lang was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $2000 bond.

Justin R. Sons, 24, 427 Park St. Patterson, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 9:16 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids)
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile
- Abuse of toxic vapors
- No driver's license
- Failure to signal
Jessica D. Brown, 21, 3379 Hwy 1 Raceland, LA was arrested on February 27, 2014 at 9:16 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Obstruction of justice
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile -
- Abuse of toxic vapors
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Verdunville area when they conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182 on a vehicle for failing to properly signal a turn. Upon stopping the vehicle, detectives observed the passenger, Brown, grab an item and attempt to hide it on her person. The item was found to be synthetic cannabinoids. Additional synthetic marijauana was located on her person. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located more synthetic drugs inside. Detectives also located items of drug paraphernalia. A 2 year old child was in the vehicle at the time of the investigation. The child was released to a guardian. Brown and Sons were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.
