St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 108 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Janna Enright, 28, 104 Chris Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on February 21, 2014 at 4:02 pm for theft and illegal possession of stolen things. A deputy responded to a complaint of the theft of tractor equipment and scrap metal from a property on Highway 317 in the Centerville area. During the course of the investigation, the deputy identified Enright as one of three subjects who sold the stolen items as scrap metal at a local scrap yard. Enright was asked to come to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin in regard to the investigation. She was subsequently transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Enright was released on a $5,000 bond. John Finister, V and Grace Loustalot were also arrested over the weekend for their involvement in the crime. The investigation is ongoing.

Andre Broussard, Jr., 22, Oak View Apartments Apt. G2, Broussard, LA was arrested on February 21, 2014 at 11:23 am on warrants for Baldwin Police for aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of weapons, and resisting an officer by flight. A deputy located Broussard at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Broussard was released on an $11,000 bond.

Lawrence Blackburn, 36, 1140 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 21, 2014 at 2:26 pm on a warrant from Morgan City Police for simple rape. Blackburn turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Blackburn was released on a $10,000 bond.

Patricia V. Thomas, 41, 320 Bowman Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 21, 2014 at 3:23 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of driving while intoxicated, improper lane usage, failure to use a seatbelt, and disturbing the peace. A deputy conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on 6th Street in Morgan City learned that the driver, Thomas, held active warrants for her arrest. Thomas was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $5,100.

Roderick A. Hunter, 32, 175 Shady Grove Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 21, 2014 at 4:57 pm on three warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Hunter was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville from Vermillion Parish on the warrants. Bond is set at $300,000.

Kenneth Hamilton, III, 26, 560 Bayou Boeuf Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 22, 2014 at 12:28 am for battery of a police officer, resisting an officer with force, criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace intoxicated, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of careless operation of motor vehicle and operating a vehicle with an expired license plate. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a lounge in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy saw two male subjects on the ground outside the business. The deputy learned from the complainant and other witnesses that Hamilton, one of the two subjects observed on the ground, was causing a disturbance. Hamilton also held an active warrant for his arrest. While being transported to the parish jail, Hamilton broke a window of the patrol unit and kicked a deputy. No bond is set.

John Finister, V, 20, 104 Chris Lane, Centerville, LA was arrested on February 22, 2014 at 11:45 am for criminal trespass, theft of copper or other metals, illegal possession of stolen things and on a warrant for unauthorized use of a moveable. A deputy investigating a complaint of the theft of tractor equipment and scrap metal from a property on Highway 317 in the Centerville area identified Finister as one of three subjects who sold the stolen items as scrap metal at a local scrap yard. Finister was asked to come to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin in regard to the investigation. The charge on the warrant stems from an investigation into a report of a stolen pressure washer reported in November 2013. The item was later located at Finister's residence during an unrelated investigation. Finister was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Juvenile female, 15, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 22, 2014 at 2:37 pm for simple battery. A deputy conducted an investigation into a complaint of a battery that occurred at Charenton Park between two juvenile females. The teenager was identified as one of the females involved. The deputy located the juvenile at her residence. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Harry D. Johnson, 35, 421 ½ Sixth Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 22, 2014 at 4:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle without proper tail lights and driving under suspension. A deputy responded to a report of a two vehicle crash on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that one of the drivers involved held an active warrant for his arrest. Johnson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.

Lauren McCoy, 25, Darcey Road Apt. 10, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 22, 2014 at 12:58 pm for possession of Scehdule I, possession of drug paraphernalia, and lights required. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a burnt out headlight on Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in Baldwin. While speaking with the driver, identified as McCoy, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia. McCoy was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was later released on a recognizance bond.

Roy Marks, Jr., 45, 166 Fortier Circle, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on February 23, 2014 at 2:33 am for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of an intoxicated subject in the parking lot of a business in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Marks and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Marks threw a cup containing an unknown liquid that hit another vehicle in the parking lot. Marks was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Marks was released on a $500 bond.

Douglas Olander, 44, 459 Alice B. Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 23, 2014 at 8:35 am for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject being bitten by a dog. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the Olander' unrestrained dog jumped out of his vehicle and was attacked by two other unrestrained animals. Olander was bitten while attempting to get his dog away from the two other dogs. Olander was issued a summons to appear in court on May 22, 2014. The investigation is ongoing and another arrest is pending.

Grace Loustalot, 24, 1209 Cayce Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 23, 2014 at 1:45 pm for theft of copper or other metals and criminal trespass. A deputy investigating a complaint of the theft of tractor equipment and scrap metal from a property on Highway 317 in the Centerville area identified Loustalot as one of three subjects who sold the stolen items as scrap metal at a local scrap yard. Loustalot was asked to come to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin in regard to the investigation. She was later was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Brenda L. Walters, 48, 215 North Verret Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 23, 2014 at 7:28 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of an intoxicated subject at a residence in Amelia. While en route, the deputy observed a female subject walking on North Verret Street and identified her as Walters. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Walters had caused a disturbance at a residence by attempting drive from the home while in an intoxicated state. Walters was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Walters was released on a $500 bond.

The following two arrests were made on February 20, 2014.

Juvevnile male, 15, Charenton, LA and a juvenile male, 14, Franklin, LA were arrested at 10:45 am for simple battery. A school resource officer investigating a complaint of a battery determined that the two juvenile males struck a third juvenile on the head. Both juveniles were released to guardians.
