St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 50 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Naomi Courville, 36, 410 Bush Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 5, 2014 at 9:57 am on a warrant from Terrebonne Parish for 2 counts of issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Courville at her residence on the warrant. Courville was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $429.28 bail.

Joshua J. Folks, 36, 203 Lacy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 5, 2014 at 10:06 am on a warrant for criminal damage to property and simple escape. Folks was transported from the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center to the parish jail on the warrant. No bond is set. (Please see previous releases sent February 3&4, 2014 for more information.)

Christopher L. Horton, 28, 152 Burchfield Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 5, 2014 at 10:03 am on a warrant for criminal damage to property and simple escape. Folks was transported from the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center to the parish jail on the warrant. No bond is set. (Please see previous releases sent February 3&4, 2014 for more information.)

Ivy J. Hebert, Sr., 42, 8340 Lebry Road, Abbeville, LA was arrested on February 5, 2014 at 2:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy was contacted by Morgan City Police regarding a subject who held an active warrant. Hebert was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $2,114.29.

Malcolm Smith, 27, 1703 Fern Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 5, 2014 at 11:34 pm for criminal trespass and aggravated assault. A deputy responded to a complaint of trespassing at a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. The deputy made contact with the subject and upon speaking with Smith observed a knife attached to Smith's pants. The deputy issued commands to Smith in order to retrieve the weapon. Smith refused to comply becoming hostile towards the deputy before reaching for the knife. Smith was taken into custody and transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
