According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Julian Aucoin, 31, 307 Sterling Road, Houma, LA was arrested on January 30, 2014 at 11:55 am on a warrant from Terrebonne Parish for failure to appear on the charge of failure to pay child support. Aucoin turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Samuel Gary, 23, 606 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 30, 2014 at 2:48 pm for disturbing the peace and remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a business on Highway 182 in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Gary who had been asked to leave the property previously that day for causing a disturbance. Gary continuously yelled at deputies during the investigation. Gary was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $750.
Mikel J. Ashley, 43, 121 Calumet Cut Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 30, 2014 at 5:32 pm on the following charges:
Warrant for failure to appear for theft of utility service
Warrant for failure to appear for theft of goods and remaining where forbidden
Warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family
Warrant from St. Martin Parish for failure to appear for theft (over $1,500)
Ashley was transported from Morgan City Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. No bond is set.
