According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Mark E. Finley, 26, 2225 College Drive Apt. 14, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on January 28, 2014 at 9:42 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated), resisting and officer by flight, and simple assault. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a bar in Amelia. The deputy made contact with Finley. During the course of the investigation, Finley fled from the deputy on foot, but was intercepted by other deputies en route responding to the complaint. According to statements taken from witnesses at the bar, Finley verbally threatened a male subject and made aggressive movements towards him. Finley was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
