St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 130 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Juvenile male, 16, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 20, 2013 at 9:06 am for runaway juvenile. A deputy located the juvenile who was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Destaine Daigle, 23, 510 Saint Lucy Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 20, 2013 at 4:29 pm for theft of goods, possession of Schedule I ( and entering contraband into a penal institution. She was also charged on a warrant from St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Daigle was seen attempting to take items out of the store without paying for the goods. During the investigation, the deputy also learned of the warrant for Daigle's arrest from St. Martin Parish SO. Daigle was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. During the booking process, a deputy located suspected marijuana in a purse in Daigle's possession. No bond is set.

Randy Clark, 26, 149 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 22, 2013 at 2:13 am for failure to report a crash and on warrants for illegal possession of stolen things and failure to appear for illegal possession of stolen things, simple battery, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Joel Boulevard in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy saw a truck in a ditch with no driver at the scene. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located the driver covered in mud at his residence and identified him as Clark. Clark was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Seth Hebert, 20, 900 Alpha Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 22, 2013 at 12:25 pm for criminal trespass. A deputy responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving on a private property near Industrial Road in Franklin. The deputy located a vehicle on the property being driven by Hebert. Hebert was released on a summons to appear in court on December 11, 2013.

Wynn Whitehurst, 34, 197 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 22, 2013 at 1:06 pm for simple criminal damage to property and on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. A deputy responded to a report of property damage at a church in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy saw tire tracks on the church's property. The deputy followed the tracks to Whitehurst's residence where the deputy located an off road vehicle that belonged to Whitehurst. Following the investigation, Whitehurst was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Leslie Matthews, 38, 178 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 22, 2013 at 7:25 pm for disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a disturbance on Friendship Alley in Amelia. Upon arrival at a residence, the deputy learned from a witness that Matthews had used obscene language and made threats towards people in the home. The deputy located Matthews and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. Matthews was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $250.
