St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Russell Allen, 43, 2228 Hwy. 182 Apt. #2, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 7:55 am for possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Legend Drug (Zithromax) without a prescription, possession of a Legend Drug (Amoxil) without a prescription, possession of a Legend Drug (Zestil) without a prescription, and on a warrant for possession of Schedule IV (Soma), disturbing the peace, and resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person on Hwy. 182 in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy located a male subject lying on the ground outside of a residence. The deputy made contact with the subject and identified him as Allen. Also, the deputy observed items of drug paraphernalia just outside the home on the ground. The deputy received consent to search the residence and located drugs. The deputy also learned of the warrant for Allen's arrest. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Tracie Silva, 48, 402 Halsey Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 12:03 pm on a warrant from the Houma Police Department for theft.

Areana Lee, 22, 402 Halsey Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 12:03 pm on a warrants for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks and on warrants from Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear.

A deputy responding to a request to remove a subject from 111 Cajun Way Lane in Amelia made contact with two female subjects, Silva and Lee, and learned of the warrants for their arrests. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Silva's bond is set at $400. No bond is set for Lee.

Frank Keller, Jr., 25, 133 Two Sisters Court, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 12:53 pm for simple battery and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Two Sisters Court. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Keller and a female subject were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical encounter. During the altercation, Keller struck the female victim with his hand. Keller was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $750.

Teema Darby, 18, 114 Dorcey Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 1:55 pm for theft of goods and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

Sabrina Moreaux, 21, 1001 Willow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 3:14 pm for principle to theft of goods and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store security personnel that Darby was observed taking items and attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that Moreaux had knowledge that Darby was taking the items. The two females had two juveniles with them at the time of the theft. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $2,000 for Moreaux and $2,000 for Darby.

Kimberly M. Thompson, 26, 523 Orange Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 10:00 pm on warrants for issuing worthless checks. Thompson turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City after learning of the warrant. She was released on summons to appear in court on September 3, 2013.

Brian Henderson, 30, 736 Utah Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on June 25, 2013 at 9:48 pm for domestic abuse battery. A deputy was contacted by the Patterson Police Department in reference to a report of a battery. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Henderson and a female victim were engaged in a verbal argument in a vehicle in the Bayou Vista area when Henderson struck the victim. Henderson was located at his residence by Berwick Police. Following the investigation, Henderson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Chantal Ruffin, 23, 221 Wren Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 26, 2013 at 1:15 am on a warrant for failure to appear on traffic offenses including driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area responded to a complaint on James Street. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Ruffin and learned of the warrant for her arrest. Ruffin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $5,000.

Jovian Jerome Clark, 31, 186 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 26, 2013 at 4:02 am for aggravated flight from an officer, 2 counts stop sign violation, reckless operation of a vehicle, failure to yield to vehicles approaching or entering an intersection, simple criminal damage to property, no seat belt, and on warrants for domestic abuse battery, terrorizing, second degree kidnapping, illegal possession of stolen things, resisting an officer, telephone communications, improper language, and harassment. Clark was also wanted on a warrant from Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office for domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery by strangulation. A deputy responded to a report of a two subjects arguing and causing a disturbance at a residence located off of Hwy. 182 in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located a vehicle driven by a subject that had been involved in the argument. The deputy identified the driver as Clark, whom the deputy knew to be wanted on active warrants. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. Clark refused to stop the vehicle and proceeded down Jupiter Street at a high rate of speed. Clark then lost control of the vehicle, crashing into the ditch at the corner of Saturn and Jupiter Roads. Clark was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center. After being released from the medical center, Clark was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office warrant for second degree kidnapping stems from an investigation into a report of a battery that occurred on March 26, 2013. Clark held a female victim captive in a vehicle and made repeated threats on her life. No bond is set. A picture of Clark is attached.
