St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

James Smith, 38, 400 Darlene Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 14, 2013 at 9:36 am at the SMPSO in Morgan City on a warrant for theft. A deputy conducting an investigation into a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista identified Smith as the suspect who stole a power saw and a saw battery from the store. Store security provided video surveillance footage which aided in identifying Smith. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $1000.

Isaac Matthew Martinez, 31, 113 Martin Luther King Blvd., Baldwin, LA was arrested on January 14, 2013 at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a warrant for sexual battery. On January 13, 2013 a detective began an investigation into a complaint of a rape which occurred at a residence in the Yokley Road area in Franklin. The 33 year old female victim sought medical attention reporting the rape at Franklin Foundation Hospital. During the course of the investigation, the detective learned that Martinez touched the victim without her consent committing a sexual battery upon her. A warrant was issued for his arrest. His bond is set at $20,000.

Derrian M. Barron, 19, 603 Margaret Street, Houma, LA was arrested on January 14, 2013 at 3:17 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Barron was observed taking make up items off the shelves and placing them in her purse. Barron was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.

Cody W. White, 29, 529 Mike Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 14, 2013 at 8:08 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Rose Park Lane in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that White became irate and pushed a juvenile female who had threatened to lock him out of the residence. White was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $500.
