St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

Kevin James, 27, 813 1/2 Iberia Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 11, 2013 at 9:56 am on a warrant for aggravated assault. A deputy located James at the SMPSO in Franklin on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint that James chased a male victim through St. Joseph while wielding a gun. James was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1000 bond.

Paul Marchez, 38, 204 Second Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 11, 2013 at 9:34 pm for reckless operation of a vehicle, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, and no drivers license. A deputy stopped on Highway 90 west near Zenor road observed a vehicle traveling in the right lane. The vehicle failed to move over to the left lane nearly striking the deputy and another subject. A traffic stop was conducted. Marchez was found to be driving without a drivers license. She was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013. The vehicle was removed by a licensed driver.

Nicole G. Richard, 38, 3111 Lake Palourde Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 8:35 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle involved in a single vehicle crash. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Richard, and learned of the warrant for her arrest. Richard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $1500 bond.


Timothy Cumer, 29, 2912 Independence Street, Metarie, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 1:33 pm for solicitation without a permit.

Kelsey Miller, 20, 284 Terrio Drive, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 1:33 pm for solicitation without a permit.

Christian Witte, 23, 5140 Ritzland Drive, Marrero, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 1:33 pm for solicitation without a permit.

Christine Salsberry, 23, 2717 Claire Avenue, Gretna, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 1:33 pm for solicitation without a permit.

Rosyalyn Darby, 22, 3754 Virgil Louisiana Drive, New Orleans, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 1:33 pm for solicitation without a permit.

A deputy responded to a complaint of several subjects soliciting door to door in Centerville. The deputy located the subjects on Darwin Road. The subjects were asked to provide their St. Mary Parish permit. The permit provided was expired. All five subjects were released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.

Jamie Butler, 31, 1802 O Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 13, 2013 at 2:10 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Butler at Holiday Inn in Morgan City on the warrant. Butler was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.

Luis Medina Rojas, 26, Apt. 21 Terrebonne St., Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 7:40 pm for license plate lights required and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle without license plate lights on Barrow Street and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation Medina stated that he did not have a drivers license and was unable to produce any form of valid identification. Medina was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Celestine Favors, 69, 130 Clausen Road South, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 12, 2013 at 9:18 pm for leash law violation. While conducting a security check at the St. Mary Parish Alternative School a deputy encountered a pack of barking dogs. The deputy contacted the parish animal warden who captured two of the dogs. The deputy made contact with the owner of the animals, identified as . Favors. Favors was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.

Israel Becerra, 26, 2214 Perry Ave., Houma, LA was arrested on January 13, 2013 at 1:18 am for speeding and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Duhon Road and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation Becerra stated that he did not have a drivers license and was unable to produce any form of valid identification. Becerra was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Kalep Michael Thomas, 20, 224 Martin Luther King, Charenton, LA was arrested on January 13, 2013 at 7:53 am for aggravated assault and domestic abuse battery. A deputy patrolling the Charenton area responded to a complaint of a disturbance in which a subject swung a pipe a victim. Upon arrival the deputy observed a subject carrying a pipe. The subject was identified as Thomas. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that Thomas swung the pipe at a female victim. Thomas did not make contact with the pipe. The victim was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital by Acadian Ambulance for treatment. Thomas was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Isaac Matthew Martinez, 31, 113 Martin Luther King Blvd., Baldwin, LA was arrested on January 13, 2013 at 10:56 am on a Morgan City Police Department warrant for failure to appear for disturbing the peace. A detective conducting an investigation into a separate complaint made contact with Martinez and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Martinez was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.

Tanisha Lashan Wilkerson, 37, 1116 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 13, 2013 at 2:18 pm for theft and on warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Wilkerson was observed placing items in her purse and attempting to leave the store without paying for the items. During the course of the investigation the deputy also learned that Wilkerson was wanted on the warrants. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Her bond is set at $2000.

Robert Wayne Ivie, 52, 35 Bayside Circle, Grand Isle, LA was arrested on January 13, 2013 at 10:12 pm for criminal trespassing, 3 counts disturbing the peace intoxicated, 2 counts simple assault, and public intimidation. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject attempting to break into a residence on Lake Palourde Road. Upon arrival the deputy made contact with a subject outside the residence identified as Ivie. The deputy observed the odor of alcohol on his breath. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that Ivie banged on the residents door threatening to shoot them. Ivie was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. While en route to the jail, Ivie attempted to kick out a window of the patrol unit. He was released on a $2250 bond.
