St.Mary Parish Daily Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Kizmet Gant, 31, 1514 Highway 182 East Lot #1, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 8, 2013 at 10:34 am on a warrant for telephone harassment. A deputy located Gant at the SMPSO in Franklin on the warrant. She was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.

Jonathon Keith Lewis, 35, 128 Becky Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 8, 2013 at 11:36 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of battery on a police officer and simple battery. Lewis was transported from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $500.

Marianne Francis Alianell, 33, 7212 Highway 182 East Apt. #18, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 8, 2013 at 4:43 pm for theft. While patrolling the Bayou Vista area a deputy responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Alianell was observed placing several items in her purse and walking out of the store without paying for the merchandise. Alianell was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.

Jacob Robert Salley, 35, 520 Blakefield Drive, Shriever, LA was arrested on January 8, 2013 at 6:30 pm on a warrant from St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on the charges of vehicular homicide and reckless operation. A deputy investigating a complaint of a theft at a property on Highway 87 in Charenton made contact with Salley. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Salley was wanted on the warrant. Salley was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Glenn Rankins, 50, 6801 Highway 182, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 8, 2013 at 10:19 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a possible stolen mobile phone at the Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia. With the assistance of casino security and surveillance footage, the deputy identified Rankins as the suspect who took another patrons unattended mobile phone. Rankins was released on a summons to appear in court on April 17, 2013.

Steven Reginald Bryant, 25, 9660 Hwy. 28 East Lot #17, Pineville, LA was arrested on January 8, 2013 at 11:15 pm on a warrant from the Pineville Police Department for failure to appear. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area responded to a complaint of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 90. While conducting an investigation the deputy learned that the driver was wanted on the warrant. Bryant was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $500 with a hold for the Pineville Police Department.
